The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be played in India and Sri Lanka.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is hosted by the International Cricket Council. It takes place every two years. Presently, Jay Shah has been appointed as the chairman of ICC. It was first played in South Africa in 2007. This event was hosted by Sri Lanka (2012) and India (2016).

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Best Qualification
This included a first direct qualification phase and a second regional qualification phase in the tournament. Meanwhile, 81 teams participated in the regional qualifiers to compete for the remaining 8 spots. ICC created sub-regional qualifiers and regional finals for the regional qualifications in June 2024 and October 2025.
Sub-regional Qualifier- This involves the main stage of ICC. It includes one or more ICC tournaments. All ICC matches in this tournament are held in a single round-robin or double round-robin format. All of these matches have a fixed time limit. This stage is crucial for all cricket teams. It must be completed within the stipulated time frame. After completing this stage, the team will advance to the next stage.
Rigional Final – This is the final stage for these new teams. This stage includes teams that did not qualify automatically, as well as teams from the sub-regional qualifiers. These are held in a single or double round-robin types.
